  3. About SunsetFog.pic

  6.   The Panorama manual for version 3.0 refers to "Panorama.pic" and
  7. instructs on how to create such a picture using the program. The text
  8. states that the picture is reproduced on the package.  These statements
  9. are ALMOST accurate, but not quite.
  10.   The picture on page 18 of the manual is indeed reproduced on the
  11. package.  However, it is inadvertently not the one named "Panorama.pic"
  12. and working through the tutorial will not result in its creation.  What
  13. you will get is the one contained on this disk (named "Panorama.pic", and
  14. NOT reproduced on the package). You can still create the picture that
  15. appears on page 18 of the manual by loading Test.Data and applying
  16. "Sunset.fog.set" instead of "Test.set" settings.
  17.   In that case, the picture you end up with should look much like the
  18. "SunsetFog.pic" picture on this disk. The picture that appears on this
  19. disk was created with Panorama in 24-bit interlace overscan. It is
  20. reproduced on the package from a HAM conversion made by Panorama. To get
  21. it to fit on the disk, it had to be downsized a little bit more, so it
  22. was converted to non-interlace, non-overscan HAM using image processing
  23. software from ASDG - Art Department Professional. If you create the
  24. picture with Panorama, turning on the 24-bit option, you will get better
  25. results than the picture shown here, on account of all the downsizing
  26. that has been done to this image.
